Classic Q should be considered as the most salable line of Marc by Marc Jacobs. In Fall/Winter 09 season, it continues to express the timeless classic style as the widely favorable one. This photo doesn’t look like it has much to do with "twilight," but technically it follows the rules: it was taken right at sunset, on a dark, gloomy, cloudy day. I was curious to see how much color I could capture, with just natural light coming in through the windows…

It’s probably worth mentioning that the photo is a 5-image HDR composite; however, I didn’t do any saturation or other adjustments of the resulting colors.

I’ve signed up for a photo workshop called "New York at Twilight" at the International Center of Photography next month, and we were given this assignment to be carried out before the class starts:

"Please take 20 to 40 photographs â€“ choose from a variety of subjects â€“ people, self-portraits, your home, a car, cityscape â€“ at twilight, dawn or when itâ€™s completely dark. Bring 4â€x6â€ prints or JPEGS on a flash drive or CD to class so we can see them. Itâ€™s good to select your best 10-15 photographs to show during the first class."

I’m not sure what I’ll end up with for the assignment, but I thought I would include a few post-sunset, twilight views of the NYC skyline. I’ll add more to this set as ideas come to me…
